The Area Sales Manager will be servicing and growing the Installed Base of equipment in the assigned territory by selling repair services, refurbishments, upgrades, parts, process optimization, and equipment training. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for covering all ANDRITZ Separation product lines including centrifuges, belt filter presses, screens, and ancillary equipment. They will report to the Regional Service Sales Manager and work very closely with the various Service Center Managers and Product Specialists.

Northwestern, US: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming

Principle Duties:

  • Calls on customers in the Area on a regular basis to grow the business.
  • Maintains active communications with respective in-house personnel.
  • Communicates customer visits in writing via CIC reports in an established timely and consistent manner.
  • Represents all product lines assigned on each customer visit.
  • Assure customer satisfaction throughout the Area.
  • Responsible for Area forecasts, budgets, and cost controls.
  • Maintain established customer base and develop new relationships.
  • Periodically evaluate effectiveness of key account sales strategies and tactics.
  • Assist in co-coordinating ANDRITZ activities in each account.
  • Pass on sales opportunities/leads to the ANDRITZ Capital Sales group.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience is a must in the Industrial (Petrochemical/Pulp & Paper/General Chemical) and Municipal Industry (Water & Wastewater)
  • Proven experience in sales, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including team leadership.
  • Established relationships with customers in the area is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, strategies, and practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel (overnight travel is required).

  • Considers implications of financial decisions and suggests methods for meeting needs of staff and the organization overall.
  • Presents complex information articulately when meeting with key executives or public officials regarding a high-visibility issue.
  • Assesses customer needs and develops innovative products and services to address recommendations.
