Teradyne Robotics is looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Area Sales Manager to accelerate the growth of Universal Robots (UR) and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) across Portugal.

As the local representative for Teradyne Robotics, you will play a key role in driving the adoption of collaborative and autonomous mobile robotics across manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, and other fast-growing industries. This is a unique opportunity to combine technical solutions selling with market development while representing two of the most recognized brands in industrial automation.

Your Role

As Area Sales Manager, you will own and develop the Portuguese market, identifying new opportunities, supporting customers, and strengthening our local partner ecosystem.

You will be based from a home office in Portugal and work closely with the Iberia team in Barcelona, while receiving support from experienced technical and commercial specialists across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Business Growth

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Portugal.
• Generate demand for Universal Robots and MiR solutions.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Deliver compelling commercial and technical presentations to customers and partners.

Develop Strategic Partnerships

• Strengthen and expand relationships with distributors, system integrators, OEMs, and automation partners.
• Identify and onboard new partners across the territory.
• Support partners in developing and closing opportunities.
• Conduct regular business reviews and joint customer visits.

Support Customers

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers and partners in Portugal.
• Understand customer challenges and identify suitable automation solutions.
• Provide first-level commercial and technical support during the sales process.
• Collaborate with engineering and application specialists on more advanced projects.

Build the Market

• Promote Teradyne Robotics solutions across industries such as:
• Represent the company at trade fairs, conferences, and customer events.
• Stay informed about market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical sales, business development, account management, or a related commercial role.
• Strong hunter mentality and passion for developing new business.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a territory autonomously.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within Portugal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing technologies, or intralogistics.
• Understanding of collaborative robots (cobots) and/or Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs).
• Knowledge of the Portuguese industrial landscape.
• Experience working with distributors and system integrators.
• Engineering or technical background in automation, robotics, mechatronics, or similar fields.
