The Area Sales Manager Hospital is responsible for driving sales growth and market share within designated hospital accounts for Becton Dickinson India Private Limited. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for a portfolio of medical devices and solutions.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets within assigned hospital accounts.
* Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, clinicians, procurement, and administrative staff within hospitals.
* Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and in-service training to healthcare professionals.
* Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and threats.
* Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and market intelligence to management.
* Negotiate and finalize sales contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical guidelines.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, customer service, and technical support teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
* Manage and monitor the sales funnel, from lead generation to deal closure.
* Stay updated on product knowledge, industry developments, and healthcare regulations.
* Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and sales meetings as required.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, specifically within the hospital segment.
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Strong understanding of the Indian healthcare market, hospital procurement processes, and key stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse customer groups.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
