Summary

Drive growth across North and South Carolina for a market-leading exterior building products brand.

Versatex, a James Hardie company, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead sales growth across the Carolinas territory. This is a high-impact, field-based sales role responsible for developing relationships with dealers, distributors, builders, remodelers, architects, and contractors while expanding market share for our premium trim and siding products.

What You’ll Do:

  • Grow sales and market presence throughout North and South Carolina.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors, dealers, builders, architects, remodelers, and contractors.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and customer events.
  • Generate and convert new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts.
  • Partner with distributor and dealer teams to drive demand and increase product adoption.
  • Represent Versatex at industry events and trade shows.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in building products, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a large geographic territory.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the Carolinas, including overnight travel as needed.

What You’ll Receive:

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $70,000 to $90,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
