Mission
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of customers within a defined region. In this role, the position will be based in south-west of Sweden, with primary responsibility for covering the markets in that area. The successful candidate will implement the sales strategy to meet customer requirements and drive growth of Renishaw’s presence in the region. They will work closely with the Technical Team throughout the entire sales cycle (including aftersales) to fully understand customer needs and deliver strong technical and commercial value propositions.
Main Responsibilities
Achieve sales targets within the assigned territory
Develop business through both direct sales and channel partners
Advise customers on process control solutions and lead key projects to support growth objectives
Deliver technical sales presentations to stakeholders at all organizational levels
Identify and develop new business opportunities, providing compelling commercial and technical solutions
Maintain an accurate and qualified pipeline in CRM to ensure sufficient coverage of future revenue targets
Participate in sales meetings, exhibitions, and trade events across the assigned region
Travel regularly to existing and potential customers to promote Renishaw’s solutions and strengthen brand awareness
Proactively engage customers through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers
Requirements
Proven experience in solution-based sales, with strong knowledge of the full sales cycle
Background in B2B engineering environments (ideally industrial metrology, automation, aeronautics, electronics, or related industries)
Strong commercial mindset combined with solid project management skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams
Full, valid driving licence and willingness to travel up to ~80%
Proficiency in CRM tools and standard IT applications (ERP systems, MS Office)
Fluent Swedish and English
