Area Sales ManagerJob Summary:**
Piramal Pharma Limited is seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth, manage key accounts, and expand market share within a designated territory. This role involves leading a team, implementing sales strategies, and fostering strong customer relationships to achieve sales targets.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and objectives for the designated area.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
* Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and healthcare professionals within the territory.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and develop effective sales approaches.
* Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales activities, forecasts, and market intelligence.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to optimize sales efforts.
* Implement and enforce company sales policies and procedures, ensuring ethical business practices.
* Conduct regular field visits to customers and sales team members to support sales activities and gather market insights.
* Participate in sales meetings, product launches, and industry events as required.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
* Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
* Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, product knowledge, and regulatory landscape.
* Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop effective strategies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
* Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Results-oriented with a strong drive for success.
