Job Description

Alfa Laval are looking for an Area Sales Manager.

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

Who you are

You are self‑driven and ambitious, always looking for business opportunities and motivated by developing customers in a complex technical environment within the life science & pharmaceutical industries. You are a strong networker and influencer who naturally builds trust and long‑term relationships across multiple stakeholders.

You plan your work in a structured and disciplined way, thrive with responsibility, and are comfortable managing customers across different countries. You enjoy spending time with customers and have no issues travelling frequently in the Nordic region.

About the job

You will be commercially responsible for selected existing customers as well as new business development within life science industries across Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Your primary focus will be selling Alfa Laval’s portfolio of separation solutions (high‑speed separators, decanters, membrane systems) and developing strategic accounts through structured sales and Key Account Management. You will be based in Denmark, but expected to travel regularly across all three markets.

Key tasks

  • Conduct frequent customer visits in Denmark, Sweden and Norway to identify potential, develop opportunities and drive projects forward

  • Build and maintain account plans for key customers across the region

  • Prepare quotations, manage negotiations and close deals

  • Actively manage your sales pipeline through structured planning and consistent CRM updates

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to secure technical and commercial alignment

  • Participate in relevant webinars, exhibitions, seminars and life science industry events in the Nordic region

Drive proactive market development activities to strengthen Alfa Laval’s position in life science processing.

What you know

  • Proven experience in technical B2B sales, ideally within pharma/biotech/process industries

  • A relevant educational background such as engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, mechanical/process engineering or similar

  • Strong commercial mindset and negotiation skills

  • Experience working across country borders is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills in Danish and English (Swedish or Norwegian is an advantage)

  • Able to work in a self‑driven, structured and consistent manner, with high CRM‑discipline and pipeline transparency

What’s in it for you?

We offer a challenging position in an open, friendly and global environment where collaboration, development and shared success matter. Your work will have a significant impact on Alfa Laval’s future growth in the life science sector across the Nordics.
