Area Sales Manager for Bradenton / Tampa Region

Area Sales Manager at Storm Smart plays a pivotal role in driving sales excellence and ensuring adherence to established procedures. Working closely with the VP of Sales, you will lead a team of Sales Consultants and Associate Sales Consultants to achieve divisional goals and deliver unparalleled customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a proficient team of Sales Consultants and Associate Sales Consultants to effectively meet divisional objectives.
  • Implement sales targets and training initiatives to align with area goals.
  • Exercise prudent control over incentive costs to uphold profit margins.
  • Provide guidance to Sales Consultants and Associate Sales Consultants on sales techniques to optimize performance and enhance customer experience.
  • Foster seamless coordination among Territory Sales Managers, Design Managers, Installation Staff, and cross functional office personnel to ensure timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Support the Administrative Sales Assistant in tracking closings and generating periodic sales reports.
  • Coordinate with various departments on re-measurement processes and installation schedules.
  • Contribute insights on advertising and promotional requirements.
  • Assist in planning and executing special sales events and community development meetings.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of sales associates, addressing personnel issues and implementing disciplinary actions as necessary, in collaboration with the VP of Sales.
  • Maintain and oversee the Sales Consultants and Associate Sales Consultants Appointment tracking log and follow-up procedures.
  • Facilitate training sessions for Sales Consultants and Associate Sales Consultants to enhance referral percentages and drive business growth.
  • Coach and Support Team as subject matter expert with new Product Development roll outs and Core Manufacturers to understand latest trends, changes, and enhancements to product offerings for best positioning in market.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively consult with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound analytical skills to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Local Travel 75% within assigned Territory. (Manatee, Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties)
  • Willingness to travel as required for special events and meetings to Fort Myers, FL (Corporate Office)

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Clean valid driver's license
  • Previous sales experience in construction/hurricane products is mandatory.
