Required qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) to perform essential functions of this position:

• Understanding of OSHA standards, in particular; power tools, lockout/tagout, confined space, electrical, fall protection, cranes, and heavy industrial

• Proven ability to train large multiple groups of employees
• Knowledge of OSHA, ADOSH, Cal OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of all other applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations

Education/Training - Work Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of proven safety management experience within a fabrication/shop environment

Specialized Knowledge – Certificates & Licenses

As outlined in the Core Competencies, an individual must have thorough knowledge and an advanced understanding of each competency outlined above in order to carry out the essential functions of this position. Specialized Knowledge is also required in the following areas:

• PPE, HAZCOM, Confined Space, and Lockout/Tagout
• Electrical, NFPA 70E procedures
• Production line procedures
• Heavy machine equipment as they relate to appropriate machine guarding

Software & Technology

Position will require the frequent use of MS Windows 7 and/or MS Windows 10, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and MS Outlook. Blue Beam PDF Software; Concur Software for expenses or applicable software.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Position requires as many hours needed to fulfill the daily and weekly obligations required to carry out the functions. Working long days including evenings and weekends can be required for this position. Position requires frequent out of state air/road travel as needed and required. A clean driving record will be required due to required road travel. Current and valid driver’s license and proof of acceptable insurance is required. This position is generally indoors in a climate controlled office. However, frequent visitations to the outdoor plant facilities will be required. Travel time is 50-75%. • Occasionally climbing ladders/scaffolding and carrying heights in precarious places
