Purpose SectionThe Area Operations Support role focuses on ensuring accurate rostering across all functions, maintaining staffing levels and compliance, providing administrative support, and supporting operational teams. The position also requires the Area Operations Support team to build, develop, lead, and retain officers and supervisors who demonstrate that Securitas is a unique security service provider, while ensuring the team understands and implements the values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. In addition, the Area Operations Support function is responsible for providing appropriate training, advice, and support to drive team success, maintaining effective communication, recognising achievements, developing the Securitas community, and assisting in recruitment and succession planning.

Note, this role requires you to have the following:

• 5-year checkable employment history, education history, or suitable supporting documentation

• Valid SIA Frontline Licence

• Right to work in the UK

• Full clean driving licence

• Administration or clerical experience

• Good IT skills

• People management capability

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

What you'll be doing: Operational and Administrative Support

• Maintaining records, contracts, IT systems
• Being first point of contact for queries
• Setting up new starters on systems
• Updating assignment instructions
• Ensuring staffing meets service levels
• Arranging training and maintaining training records
• Ensuring personnel files contain required documents
• Providing admin support such as minute-taking
• Managing secure document storage

• Ensure accuracy of all operational data, regularly reviewing and reporting on progress, and taking action to address any significant variances.

Purchasing and Building Management:

• Issue purchase order numbers.
• Handle building management responsibilities as needed.

Team Development:

• Build, develop, lead, and retain a team of officers and supervisors who demonstrate through their work that Securitas is a unique security service provider.
• Ensure the team understands and implements the values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
• Provide adequate and appropriate training, advice, and support to ensure team success.
• Maintain communication, recognise achievements, and develop the Securitas community.
• Assist in recruitment and succession planning to ensure the branch can deliver consistently high levels of service.

Compliance and Participation:

• Ensure all staff and officers in the branch comply with Securitas policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements, demonstrating appropriate levels of control.
• Actively participate in and support the development of the branch through involvement in company and area initiatives and projects.
• Share best practices with other branches and support functions.

Other Duties:

• Perform any other duties as directed by the Area Director or Operations Team Leader.
• Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst showing a natural ability to recognise risk within the workplace and consider safety as a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training as provided by the Company.
