Overview:

Job Status/Type: Full-time
Shift/Schedule Requirements: Ability to work various shifts and days including nights, weeks and holiday periods to meet business needs.

The estimated base salary range for this full-time role is $71,175 – $94,900. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus up to 10% and our standard benefits package, including health insurance and 401(k) matching.

Plans, schedules and manages the daily operation of the Rides Maintenance department in support of the Rides Maintenance Manager, ensuring compliance with, applicable policies, procedures, and standards of quality and safety. Supervises and reviews the work of subordinates. Performs related adminstrative, supervisor and technical duties as required.

Responsibilities:

• Manages supervisory staff; duties include scheduling; instructing; assigning, reviewing and planning work of others; maintaining standards; coordinating activities; allocating personnel; selecting new employees; acting on employee problems; recommending employee promotions, transfers and discharge, and approving disciplinary action.
• Assists with developing/implementing mechanical and electrical maintenance plans, policies and operational functions that clearly define the goals/strategies needed to reach the objectives of the Kings Dominion Ride Maintenance group.
• Works closely with the rides maintenance and electrical supervisors on all engineering change requests and its documentation.
• Coordinates maintenance projects with other Park departments, contractors, and vendors as necessary.
• Performs maintenance duty in Park as scheduled.
• Receives and reviews various records and reports including, purchase orders, price quotes, mechanical drawings, downtime reports, etc.
• Work with supervisors on contractor based ride rehab quotes and project management.
• Operates a vehicle, man-lift, crane, scissor lift, truck, Cushman cart, rides and related equipment, and a variety of equipment such as a computer, calculator, telephone, two way radio, copier, fax machine, etc.
• Uses computer and clerical supplies, meters, gauges, measuring devices, mechanic's tools, etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or vocational training in Maintenance/Technology/Engineering.
• Must have a minimum of 8-10 years of prior experience.
• Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of supervisor/management experience.
• Certifications preferred: NAARSO level 2 or higher
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
