Job Purpose

Responsible for sales of Polypropylene (PP) in a given territory within the region.

1. Sales Channel Development

  • Provide inputs for channel development plan.
  • Attract and develop recognized channel partners and traders.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with customers to understand requirements, quality, and service expectations.
  • Develop and maintain annual MOUs with customers.
  • Ensure Nayara becomes a preferred supplier in the polymer industry.

3. Demand Mapping and Sales Planning

  • Refine Nayara’s grade plan after detailed demand mapping.
  • Prepare customer-wise/grade-wise monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribution as per the committed business plan.

4. Sales Execution and Coordination

  • Focus on key customers with a well-drawn visit plan.
  • Liaise with operations, warehouse, and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
  • Regular follow-up with channel partners for orders and commercial issues.
  • Handle settlement of customer claims.
  • Enhance reach and penetration of products in the territory.

5. Market Intelligence and Feedback

  • Monitor and provide feedback on competitor activities, market trends, and price movements.
  • Track imports by customers/traders and provide pricing inputs.
  • Prepare brief market reports on a weekly/monthly basis.

6. Product Development and Technical Support

  • Work with Technical Services for new grade development.
  • Provide technical support for existing grades.
  • Attend and resolve customer complaints.

Engineer / MBA – Marketing.

Skills

  1. Functional Skills:
    • Excellent knowledge of Indian polymer industry.
    • Deep contacts in plastic processing industry, polymer distributors/traders, and associations.
    • Commercial competencies.
    • Proficiency in ERP/SAP systems related to Sales and Distribution.
  2. Behavioural Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Collaborative internally and externally.
    • Problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to operate independently under pressure.
