At Polestar, we don't just build electric cars, we challenge conventions across the automotive industry. We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Area Manager to join our Italian Sales team and help drive commercial performance across our retail network.

This is a field-based role for a hands-on automotive professional who thrives on building relationships, coaching teams, and turning opportunities into results. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive the premium experience that defines the Polestar brand, while supporting the continued growth of our business in Italy.

The role is based in Milan, with frequent travel across the assigned area.

Let us describe the challenge we offer

As Area Manager, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance across Polestar Spaces and retail partners within your assigned area. You will work closely with the Italian Sales team, retail partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve conversion, increase customer satisfaction, and ensure consistent execution of Polestar sales standards and processes.

You will act as the link between the market strategy and daily retail execution, supporting our partners in achieving their targets while delivering a premium and seamless customer journey.

What you'll do

You will take ownership of retail performance and operational excellence across your area of responsibility. Your daily activities will include:

• Driving sales conversion and retail performance through regular analysis of sales metrics, pipeline health, and operational KPIs
• Identifying business opportunities and performance gaps, proposing and implementing action plans to improve results
• Coaching and training Space Specialists and retail staff on Polestar sales processes, customer journey standards, and commercial best practices
• Conducting regular network visits to ensure compliance with Polestar commercial policies, operational standards, and customer experience expectations
• Preparing structured visit reports including observations, recommendations, and action plans
• Monitoring stock management, pre-owned vehicle activities, and trade-in performance
• Overseeing test drive management and opportunity handling to ensure sales processes are completed effectively
• Supporting retail partners in achieving sales targets while maintaining a premium customer experience
• Addressing customer issues and escalations in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborating closely with Customer Experience, Marketing, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to support business objectives
• Providing regular performance updates, insights, and recommendations to Management
• Supporting sales initiatives beyond the assigned area whenever required

You enjoy working directly with partners and frontline teams, helping them achieve their full potential while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

You are proactive, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve quickly.

What you bring

• University degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive sales
• Strong understanding of retail sales processes and customer experience management
• Solid knowledge of the automotive industry, with particular interest in electric vehicles and sustainable mobility
• Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into actions
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to travel regularly across the assigned area
• Fluent Italian and professional English
