Location: 802 E Centre Park Blvd, DeSoto, TX 75115. This position is performed onsite at one of the Company’s operational facilities, unless otherwise specified in the job posting.
Shift(s): Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00pm - 7:00am (Hours subject to change based on the needs of the business)
Compensation: The expected starting base pay range for this position is $54,400 - $68,000, with a full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $54,400 - $81,600. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
Employment Logistics:
As the Area Manager at OnTrac, you will report to the General Manager. You will play a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership as well as overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day activities to ensure efficiency and productivity. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around managing personnel, implementing strategic processes, and sustaining a positive work culture within the warehouse.

The Must-Haves:
• GED/Diploma required, college degree in related discipline preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience
• Ability to effectively evaluate and summarize data and present answers to questions
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills
• Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback
• Experience with hiring, training, motivation, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees
• Basic English language proficiency (spoken and written) required for understanding safety and operational instructions in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

• You will frequently need to stand, walk, sit, and use your hands to handle or feel.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Your Mission in Motion:
Manage, staff, and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area in the facility to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Monitor employee progress, provide ongoing feedback, identify areas for improvement, and address performance/attendance.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings, keeping employees informed of daily goals, upcoming events, and safety priorities. Maintain an open line of communication to engage employees.
• Record departure and arrival time of designated line-hauls. Accurately record trailer percentages throughout sort span and record final percentages on outbound paperwork.
• Manage the flow of volume from Inbound to Outbound for on-time linehaul departures.
• Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.

• You bring mechanical work experience that helps you contribute quickly to maintenance, repair, and inspection work.
• You apply knowledge of OSHA requirements in daily work practices.
• You maintain a flexible schedule to support 24-hour operations, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays when needed.
• You stay dependable and adaptable as business needs, staffing needs, and workload shifts.

The salary range above represents the national range for this position. The salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at OnTrac, and the actual base salary offered may vary depending on several factors including, but not limited to: Geographic location, candidate experience and qualifications, job-related skills and competencies, market alignment, and financial considerations.
