Summary
The Area Manager, AMS is a first-level management position that supervises a team of AMS Field Service Technicians and oversees the operation of their assigned area. This positionmaintainscustomer relationships and works with Technicians and management to communicate, troubleshoot, and ensure the completion of safe, efficient, and economical day-to-day operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Support employees by being available to answer questions, prioritize training as needed, and lead the Area by example.
Communicate daily with Technicians to review completed tasks, review, andadvisescheduled work
Monitor employee hours by ensuring daily time entry, correct discrepancies quickly, manage overtime, and prioritize the safety and wellbeing of employees.
Analyze critical data and completetimelyreports in various systems including but not limited to operations, inventory, and finance.
Maintain positive customer relationships and provide conflict resolution efforts when necessary.
Enforce Safety compliance throughout your team,participatein monthly Safety meetings and ensure attendance by your direct reports.
Conduct a reoccurring Operations meeting with your direct reports and necessary superiors to communicate new or updatedprocesses, andreview data critical to the Area’s success.
Review Field Service Orders,ensure that the entry of all information iscorrectand that area personnel are trained in the correct methods of completing Field Service Orders
Initiateappropriate warrantyclaims
Review monthly financials with Regional Operations Managerdriveimprovement asrequired
Performadditional, miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Education& Certifications
High school diploma or GEDrequired
Valid Driver’s License, with Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within the acceptable parameters of Company Policy,required
Work Experience
Minimum 5 years’ working experience in natural gas compression operations or a combination of OEM, trade school, or comparable work experience in a related field.
Skills & Abilities
High degree of mechanical intuition and ability.
Comprehension of OEM and miscellaneous technical manuals, literature, and programs.
Ability to configure gas compression equipment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (excel, word, outlook).
Ability toread, write, speak, and understand English.
Extended or non-traditional working hours may berequired
Requires an employee tofrequentlytype and use computer and other office equipment such as a copier, printer, calendar, telephone, etc.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unaided.
Must be able to stand or walk on uneven terrain, climb personnel stairs and ladders, stoop,squatand/or crawl depending on the directed task.
Exposure to extreme temperatures, weatherconditionsand environments on a location-by-location basis.
High noise environment (>85dbA) will occur with ear protection.
Potential of controlled exposure to hazardous chemicals.
Travel isrequired75 – 90 percent of the time worked.
