Area Manager

Operations & Production Management

  • Oversee daily production execution aligned with planning priorities.
  • Ensure cost-effective operations and adherence to schedules.
  • Maintain discipline on shop floor performance (output, quality, safety).
  • Monitor and control operational budgets, ensuring spending efficiency and alignment with financial targets.

Strategic Planning & Capacity Management

  • Develop and execute short-term and long-term operational strategies.
  • Own 5-year capacity planning.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement Programs (CIPs) to meet business growth.

Problem Solving & Customer Engagement

  • Act quickly with urgency mindset to resolve issues.
  • Lead recovery actions for Safety incidents, Production disruptions, Quality issues.
  • Support investigations for: Customer complaints, Quality escapes, Performance issues.
  • Support customer audits and communication.

Operational Excellence through Continuous Improvement

  • Drive Lean / Six Sigma based improvements.
  • Translate innovations into high-volume manufacturing (HVM) processes.
  • Improve: Efficiency, Cost, Product quality.

People Leadership & Shop Floor Control

  • Collaborate with: EHS, Quality & PQE, Logistics & Supply Chain, Maintenance, MT teams, Sales & Commercial teams.
  • Manage and develop direct reports through: Goal setting, Coaching, Performance feedback, Training.
  • Build a high-performance culture.
  • Directly monitor First-line Managers.
