Job Description

About the role – Area Manager at Smith&Smith® - Lower South Island Region

Reporting to the National Operations Manager, you will oversee the operations of Smith&Smith® corporate service locations, mobile and authorised dealers in the Lower South Island Region (Dunedin, Invercargill, Oamaru and Queenstown). You’ll be hiring, training, and developing effective teams, implementing Belron® standards, and working cross-functionally to achieve success. Ultimately, the Area Manager is accountable for driving brand awareness and increasing profitability within their territory.

Location: Smith&Smith Dunedin

Hours: 40 hours per week between 07:00am – 07:00pm Monday to Friday

What we’re looking for:

  • Seasoned in managing multiple branches with a keen eye for operational and commercial success.

  • Experienced in fostering strong relationships and managing diverse teams across geographies.

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering business excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Customer focused with a commitment to delivering a first-class experience, account - or sales management experience preferred.

  • Strong people management, team leadership and influencing skills.

  • A passion for Smith&Smith’s mission to keep Kiwis safe on the road, at home and at work.

  • Ability to travel frequently.

  • A clean, full New Zealand driver’s licence

  • Unrestricted rights to work in New Zealand.

  • Must be willing to complete a drug and alcohol pre-employment test as part of our selection process.
