Major Duties:

For start-up and ongoing operations:

  • Manage all aspects of area work-center operations enabling excellence in delivery of our global/site strategic and tactical goals and objectives
  • Lead SDW teams (incl. extended team support functions) in delivering best in class safety, quality, service and cost performance while maintaining the highest-level cGMP standards
  • Build a high-performance work-center organization, creating and supporting a workplace environment that encourages teamwork, empowerment, continuous improvement and robust problem-solving capabilities delivering best in class performance across metrics
  • Work as part of an extended team to ensure every day great execution (EDGE) and operations excellence via benchmark daily management, LEAN, and CI work practices
  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement to ensure best in class capability, quality, and safety within the work-center and across the site
  • Ensure area work-center technical readiness across all technologies and systems enabling vertical start-up and EDGE (Every Day Great Execution)
  • Ensure area work-center personnel capability and readiness through excellence in technical training and transfer

Startup Management & Operational Excellence

Lead with Excellence and Enable:

  • Work-center technical readiness delivering vertical start-up and ensuring ongoing performance meets or exceeds expectations
  • Work-center new hire capability development, effective technical training & transfer, and ongoing talent development strategies
  • Build relationships and collaboration with stakeholders and business partners to drive ramp-up, speed to benefit realization, and overall area work-center optimization
  • Benchmark LEAN and CI processes to optimize ramp-up and ensure ongoing KPI targets are achieved / exceeded across safety, quality, cost, cGMP and Regulatory Compliance
  • Embed EDGE (Every Day Great Execution) into the culture and mindset of each team member

Organization Development

Lead with Excellence and Enable:

  • High performing, empowered, self-directed work teams across the work-center and organization able to meet or exceed business requirements with speed, agility, and efficiency while maintaining a zero-loss safety and ELC quality culture
  • Exceptional area work-center performance management/optimization and talent development
  • Creating the area work-center / organizational capability and synergies to meet/exceed organizational strategic and tactical goals
  • Technical and operational excellence across the area work-center/ organization
  • Deployment of area work-center process and daily management systems to ensure success vs. objectives
  • Benchmark organizational optimization CI processes ensuring health check and proactive, best practice adoption and deployment

Requirement:

  • Minimum Education Level: University
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelors (Technical / e.g. Mechanical Engineering a +)
  • Licenses / Certifications:
  • Years of Experience (Minimum): 7 / 2 as Supervisor in a compounding manufacturing environment
  • % Travel: Minimal
  • Language Proficiency: Japanese (English a+)
