The Area Install Manager is responsible for the management of all installation projects and leads the team to ensure these projects are completed on-time and in a cost-effective manner. The Area Install Manager is also responsible for the assigned region’s strategic planning, financial management, project execution, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the construction operations through strategic sales development, process control, operational/margin improvement initiatives, and the establishment of key performance
  • Analyze the market and current business performance to ensure strategies are effective in meeting the financial budget and recommend changes or adjustments to the plan when
  • Develop and drive project management, design team acceptable terms and conditions, and minimum profit margins.
  • Responsible for tracking, forecasting, and communicating all costs, profits, and financial measures of the total construction business.
  • Accountable to manage department leads that oversee design, scheduling, planning, actual construction, expediting, inspection, quality control, and total delivery of all projects according to established tollgates and criteria.
  • Collaborate with service department to ensure successful and smooth project turnovers for
  • Conduct regular business review meetings to inspect performance, analyze any issues and implement any corrective action plans.
  • Routinely review all non-financial and financial key performance indicators for sales, design, field installation, operational administration, and project management.
  • Examine the business performance on sales pipeline, backlog integrity, resource utilization, cost control and overall revenue/margin contribution.
  • Determine, budget, and plan for the staffing needs of the business and work with the appropriate resources to achieve the plan.
  • Manage and develop important subcontractor and vendor
  • Create alliances that support our strategy and deliver the level of quality we and our customers
  • Ensure compliance with Hiller policies/procedures, Federal, State, and local laws, and
  • Other duties as

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field preferred.
  • 10 years’ proven Fire Protection or closely related industry experience with prior leadership experience, ideally with multi-site responsibility
  • NICET III or higher certification preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Ability to interact and communicate in a professional and positive manner with internal and external stakeholders, including other trades, customers, project managers, county officials, and general contractors.
  • Must have good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage customer escalations during system implementation.
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to recognize manpower needs and effective schedules.
  • Strong team leadership and the ability to launch and execute key initiatives and tools.
  • Knowledgeable with NFPA standards and codes.

Hiller also offers a variety of products and parts to support our customers. These products include portable and fixed fire extinguishers, hoses, hose reels, nozzles, foam and other material/equipment involved in fire detection and suppression. We also provide safety equipment such as gloves, fire resistant clothing, safety glasses, masks, air breathing apparatus and other similar items. These products are sold from inventory or shipped directly to our customers from our vendors.

The following vendors we have on schedule include Ansul, Amerex, Kidde, Siemens, Survivair, Akron Brass and Gentex, just to name a few.
