Job Description

As an Area Credit Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing credit operations and strategies within the Housing Finance division. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing credit quality, managing risk, and driving business growth. You will lead a team of credit professionals, providing guidance and expertise to ensure consistent and effective credit decision-making.

  • Lead and manage the credit operations team, providing strategic direction and guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve credit applications, assessing borrower's creditworthiness and risk.
  • Monitor and analyze credit portfolio performance, identifying trends and potential risks.
  • Implement and maintain robust credit risk management frameworks and processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless credit processes and customer experience.
  • Train and mentor credit officers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in housing finance.
  • Prepare and present credit-related reports and analyses to senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in credit management, with a focus on housing finance.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in credit risk assessment and management techniques.
  • Knowledge of housing finance products, processes, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and credit analysis tools.
  • Willingness to travel as required for business needs.
