The Area Coordinator is a key liaison who supports the Supervisor in managing daily production operations. The role's primary goal is to lead associates in achieving safety, quality, and performance targets through team leadership, production scheduling, enforcing standards, and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) using WCM/lean tools. Qualifications require a High School Diploma, 3+ years of team leadership experience in manufacturing, and knowledge of WCM, safety, and quality processes.

Team Leadership & Coordination
Lead and support an assigned group of associates to ensure safe, efficient, and successful daily operations.
Assign associates to job stations daily based on skill, production needs, and safety requirements.
Act as a liaison between the Supervisor and associates, communicating expectations, priorities, and feedback.
Provide peer-to-peer training, coaching, and guidance to associates.
Assist with training, onboarding, and development of new operators.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and engagement.
Production & Performance Management
Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily production activities to meet KPIs, targets, and deadlines.
Monitor and optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Coordinate appropriate manpower to meet daily production requirements.
Maintain production records and assist with reporting on metrics, performance, and efficiency.
Support scrap reduction, breakdown improvement, FPY improvement, CAL improvement, and overall process reliability.
Safety, Quality & Housekeeping
Ensure a safe working environment with a goal of zero injuries.
Ensure all safety incidents and/or injuries are reported and addressed immediately.
Implement and enforce safety, quality, and company standards.
Maintain strong 5S and housekeeping standards across assigned areas.
Collaborate with quality teams to ensure materials and products meet quality requirements.
Continuous Improvement & WCM
Utilize WCM and lean tools to drive continuous improvement and improve key metrics.
Lead, follow, or actively participate in all WCM and lean activities.
Write, manage, and close WCM tags for the assigned area.
Support SEWO immediate countermeasures, TWTTP/HERCA activities, and AY initiatives.
Identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma
Minimum of 3 years of team leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Proven experience as a Production Coordinator, Lead, or similar role
Zero active written disciplines
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of production processes, quality standards, safety regulations, and WCM/lean principles
