Job Description

As the Area Collections Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the LAP team's performance and ensuring the successful recovery of loans. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing strategies to navigate through hardship cases, providing tailored support and solutions to customers.   • Lead and manage the HF LOAN AGAINST PROPERTY (LAP) team, providing strategic direction and guidance.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive collections and recovery strategies, ensuring timely and effective loan repayments.
  • Identify and assess hardship cases, offering tailored support and solutions to customers facing financial difficulties.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their unique circumstances and needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless loan processing and efficient customer service.
  • Monitor and analyze collection performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies in all collection activities.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and collection trends.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in collections and recovery.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in collections and recovery, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Working knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and problem-solve effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and collections management software.
  • Willingness to travel as required for business needs.
  • A self-starter with a results-driven mindset and a passion for collections and customer service.
