ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Area Business Manager (ABM) will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Sickle Cell Therapeutics Specialists to achieve and exceed performanceobjectives This isaccomplishedthrough effective coaching, mentoring of the team,utilizationofresources,and strong collaboration internally and externally. Other responsibilities include providing a strategic vision for your sales team and building astrongidentifiable performance-based culture. Additionally,the ABMwill be tasked with creating comprehensive strategic business plans, including specific, measurable, action-orientedobjectivesin accordance withnational and regional goals.
Other responsibilities include management of approved funds and resources andensuretheir ethical, targeted allocation towards maximizing sales. Create a motivating environment for the team by ensuring clarity of purpose and aligning to Pfizer’s vision. Execute ata high leveland drive operational excellence to ensure the sales team is makingimpact, and in a compliant way. Lead and navigate through challenging sales environments and help the team continue to adapt to the new reality of virtual and in-person engagement.

•Represent area business atmonthly Control Towers andQuarterly business reviews (QBR) and manage execution of assigned action items; report status through Planning & Innovation processes.
• Actively & appropriatelyparticipatein team meetings to share insights (risks, issues, opportunities, best practices,etc) and to develop action plans to accelerate business performance.
Area Business Leadership
• Accountable for successful account engagement and internal coordination for all customers within the Area geography
• Manages resource allocation across the Area geography
• Ensuresappropriate cross-functionalcommunication, collaboration& coordination to meet the local market needsas part ofthe IAT
• Lead the implementation of the Area business plan through; provide guidance and coaching to Area team members to ensure alignment and seamless working across multiple geographies
•Maintainrequired technicalexpertisein order torespond accurately to all questionsregardingproducts, policies and business-related issues from customers and representatives
•Maintainin-depth understanding of current and emergingmarketand customer trendsin order tocoach brand messaging
• Engage with cross-functional teams toexecute onopportunities with brand pull-through
Area Business Planning
• Develop Area businessobjectivesand define key performance metrics that are aligned to National Sales and Brand objectives
• Develop and implement insight-driven,integratedand compliant business plans at Area, Territory and Account levels
• Ensure sales forecast and operational budgets are achieved
• Support the implementation of the sales representative incentive compensation structure.
• Build a network of physicians and industry contacts to improve sales leads and successes.
• Partner with Brand Marketing to help inform the annual Operating Planning and Tactical Planning efforts.
• Convey Area customer needs to Brand team and other cross functional teams asappropriate tohelp identify / design new customer solutions

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $139,000 - $280,400. In addition, this position offers an additional Sales Incentive bonus.
