Our refineries in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana have a combined crude capacity of 302,000 barrels per day

Manages the day-to-day operation and is accountable for ensuring reliable and cost-effective operation of assigned processing area(s), logistics and utilities, to optimize and achieve production goals of the refinery. This role is essential in establishing and promoting a culture focused on safe, environmentally compliant, and reliable operations with the assigned area(s). This role provides leadership, motivation, training, and development of workforce; participates in continuous improvement activities as part of the site management team and ensures Company policies are followed in order to maintain a positive work culture.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Four (4) or more years Experience in a managerial/supervisory role (Required)
Ten (10) or more years Experience in refinery, petrochemical or chemical role (Required)
No Licensure or Certification Required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including climbing of stairs, ladders and in confined spaces , Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, hearing protection, respirator) , Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, holidays and overtime as required
Accountable for safe, compliant and sustained economically viable refining operations (short and long-term) in assigned area
Responsible for asset ownership and stewardship, with a heavy focus on operation excellence as well as delivery and health of all management system workstreams in the assigned area
Provides escalation path for the shift team and oversees the day-to-day activities of the Area Business Team within assigned area to ensure safe and quality production and meet identified goals
Leads the Area Business Team through short- and long-term threat resolution
Maintains a safe, healthy and environmentally compliant operation by following, implementing and enforcing Company standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
Ensures effective incident investigation and preventative action implementation to avoid recurrence
Ensures effective and consistent application of collective bargaining agreements
Monitors progress of area KPIs and develops strategies to drive continuous improvement
Accomplishes goals while maintaining employee accountability, positive team morale, employee engagement, and teamwork
Drives business team to identify and present quality alternatives, assuring sound, timely and reasonable decisions
Provides Planning Premises for Weekly, Monthly, and Annual Business Planning cycles
Accountable for managing spend and achieving area budget targets
Acts as contract owner for Area contracts
Performs other duties as assigned
