ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Arctic Circle Clerk provides friendly, accurate, and efficient service to guests in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position is responsible for greeting guests, processing orders and payments, preparing and serving menu items, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and positive work environment. Clerks work as part of a team to help ensure Arctic Circle delivers exceptional service and premium-quality food—“Where the Good Stuff Is!”

• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service throughout each interaction.
• Accurately take guest orders using the point-of-sale system and confirm order details for accuracy.
• Handle cash, credit, and digital payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and serve food, beverages, and ice cream products according to company standards.
• Ensure orders are complete, correctly prepared, well-presented, and delivered promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in assigned work areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Restock supplies, assist team members, and support restaurant operations as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Work on special projects, tasks and assignments as directed or requested.
• Regular on-site attendance is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

• Knowledge of basic guest service principles and cash handling practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and team members.
• Ability to learn new processes, equipment, and menu items quickly.
• Ability to maintain composure and provide quality service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous guest service, food service, or cashier experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate a point-of-sale system and handle payment transactions accurately.
• Strong guest service skills to provide friendly, helpful, and professional service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail to accurately enter orders, process payments, and prepare guest orders.
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures consistently.
• Dependability and teamwork to support daily restaurant operations and guest service goals.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
• Regular on-site attendance required.
• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Regularly perform repetitive motions, use hands and fingers for order entry and food preparation, communicate with guests and team members, and reach, grasp, carry and handle supplies or products. Must be able to lift and carry less than 25 lbs. regularly and 25–50 lbs. occasionally, while performing all functions as set forth.
