Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks an Architecture Senior Advisor for the St. Louis, MO location to design and implement major components and domains of the data architecture and data models to modernize and transform our company’s Reporting & Analytics applications.
Responsibilities:
• Focus on source system knowledge, data analysis, business requirements and providing conceptual, logical and physical data model designs to support various initiatives in an agile environment.
• Review existing data models to understand the current environment and recommend changes to optimize data requirements.
• Work closely with the upstream data owners, business stakeholders, and analysts to understand reporting and analytics end state in order to drive the creation of scalable and documented data design solutions.
• Work with the development team to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual data models.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Data Architecture and Database design using AWS services including Redshift and PostgreSQL, specializing in designing high-efficiency, scalable, and reusable architectures.
• Conduct programming and querying using SQL and Spark.
• Mentor junior developers and analysts to adopt best practices in query design and performance optimization.
• Build logical and physical data models utilizing industry best practices.
• Work closely with the business intelligence team to implement/publish a data access layer in the data lake that is optimized for reporting and analytical needs based on business requirements.
• Support and evolving standards for all cycles of visual product development including requirements, prototyping, code development, versioning, documentation, and maintenance.
• Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks.
• Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, program manager and team members in a Scaled Agile framework.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience.
• Requires experience with: Data Profiling/Data Analysis;
• Creating data architecture framework and governance model based on enterprise data strategy;
• Creating logical and physical data models based on business requirements;
• Creating and implementing new designs for better performance and eliminating redundant data for large scale Enterprise Data Warehouses;
• Creating technical specs such as Mapping documents and Function Data Requirements;
• Creating Data Models for both Operational and Transactional Systems;
• Forward engineering data models in databases including Oracle, MySQL, and PostgresSQL;
• Maintaining ETL pipelines in Informatica;
• Creating mappings to move data from SQL Server to a Salesforce environment;
• Creating completeness check, length check, and pattern check mapplets for data governance rules in Redshift and MySQL;
• Designing and implementing distributed data pipelines and integration architecture in cloud and on-premises environments including Salesforce, Oracle, and SQL Server;
• Working on generating dashboards in Tableau;
• Managing data in regulated healthcare environments;
• Relational databases, NoSQL, data stores, cloud technology, Spark, Amazon Web Services (AWS); and
• Using: SQL and Erwin.
