Quartz is seeking an Architecture Governance Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. This internship offers a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Technologies, and IT Strategy while working alongside experienced architecture professionals.

As an intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting initiatives that help ensure business applications, data, and technology solutions align with organizational standards and future business needs.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As an Architecture Governance Intern, you'll support projects and initiatives that strengthen the organization's technology architecture and governance processes.

Enterprise Architecture

• Assist in documenting and maintaining enterprise architecture inventories, application portfolios, and architecture repositories.
• Help create and update architecture diagrams, process flows, and technology roadmaps.
• Support architecture review processes and governance activities.
• Research emerging technology trends, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data management practices.
• Assist in evaluating how technology solutions align with business needs and architectural standards.

Governance & Reporting

• Prepare dashboards, reports, presentations, and meeting materials for architecture governance reviews.
• Capture meeting notes, action items, and follow-up activities.
• Analyze information from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams on governance-related initiatives.

Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must:

• Demonstrate interest in enterprise architecture as a possible career path
• Graduate between May 2028 and December 2028
• Ability to work 40 hours per week from June to August 2027
• Must live within a 3-hour radius of Madison, WI and be willing to travel to headquarters from June to August
• Attend the summer intern program kickoff and retreat (June 1-4, 2027), and final intern presentation (Late July/Early August)
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring work visa sponsorship from Quartz, now or in the future

Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
