Job Description

Carrier is looking for Architecture and System Engineering Lead within our global Refrigeration businesses to own the System Engineering, MDB and Architecture strategy and execution. This leader will drive product solutions that enable a strategic, customer centric product portfolio that is optimized across regions.

The leader will partner closely with program management and other engineering leaders to execute on product developments that will position Carrier to be the global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions in the refrigeration segment. The ideal candidate would have successfully developed innovation strategy, matured technology concepts all the way to product solutions while having close cross-functional engagement throughout

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Architecture and System Engineering Team(A&S)
• Drive capability growth inside A&S team on modelling techniques to increase product robustness and accelerate project timelines.
• Continue developing engineering expertise and bandwidth with resources in various engineering centers to support timely new product launches.
• Work closely with engineering leads and colleagues globally in leveraging knowledge, experience, and good practices for global design, commonality, and complexity reduction.
• Work closely with engineering, product management, program management, supply chain, operations, and stakeholders in ensuring on spec for new product launches, including codes, and specifications required to comply with regulations and customer needs.
• Work closely with engineering leads to ensure project needs are planned and staffed.
• Support new product development and sustaining initiatives for Transport Refrigeration.
• Manages clear, concise and results oriented communications with diverse stakeholders, employees, customers, and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in a design center or a commercial production environment.
• 8+ years of experience leading teams
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Experience in MBD workflows for system design - from requirements specification, to design, and to performance verification.
• Physics-based and empirical modeling experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• New product development in HVAC industry experience preferred. Product design in a global manufacturing environment
