As our Architectural Product Designer / Estimator, you’ll play a key role in transforming architectural intent into real-world products. This position is a Hybrid Remote position.
- Read and interpret complex architectural blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications
- Perform takeoffs and prepare detailed, accurate project quotations
- Estimate time and materials using established methods and Excel-based formulas
- Collaborate directly with Architects to develop designs from concept to finished product
- Work closely with customers to refine designs in accordance with architectural plans
- Lead and coordinate projects across Production, Engineering, Sales, outside reps, and subcontractors
- Solicit and qualify vendor and subcontractor quotes to secure competitive pricing
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively resolve issues
- Exercise sound judgment within company policies while working independently

Qualificationsđź› What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural blueprints and create accurate takeoffs
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with fabrication equipment such as shears, brakes, CNC punch, lasers, welders, etc.
- Strong mathematical computation skills
- Excellent computer skills (including Excel proficiency)
- Strong interpersonal, telephone, and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels
- Solid understanding of general office procedures
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Sound decision-making skills within policy guidelines
Preferred
Qualifications
- Construction background or experience in commercial construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Hands-on sheet metal fabrication experience
