Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: WFA - Bentonville, AR 72712Join our dynamic team specializing in retail and automotive services design. We’re looking for an experienced professional to lead projects from concept through completion, primarily within our car wash program.
What You’ll Do:
Manage all phases of design: schematic, renderings, construction documents, and construction administration.
Deliver high-quality projects including renovations, acquisitions, and ground-up builds—ranging from prototypical to custom designs.
Collaborate with internal teams and clients nationwide in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
What We’re Looking For:
10+ years of experience in construction documentation, ideally in retail or automotive sectors.
Strong Revit proficiency.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Solid understanding of design and construction processes and detailing.
Licensure preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performs architectural assignments focused on construction document production and coordination with regulatory authorities to gain necessary approval for construction.
Work may include construction administration tasks leading to project completion, under supervision of Design Team Lead, for training and development purposes.
Designer can work, in an independent manner, to deliver completed construction documents on most client and/or project types, as well as, provide a high level of service for all phases of design.
Designer can communicate effectively to be seen as highly knowledgeable and/or an expert when discussing design challenges or projects, both internally and externally.
Direct Design Team in research, development, and drafting of construction documents to support client building programs.
Investigate, evaluate, and recommend architectural design solutions and independently make decisions on complex architectural design problems and methods.
Work will include all aspects of construction administration leading to project completion.
Applies sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in broad array of
assignments and related fields. Acts independently regarding architectural methods and complexities.
Requires use of advanced techniques and modification/extension of theories, precepts, and practices of
individual's field.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
Mentor and direct team members.
Efficiently produce accurate construction documents with minimal supervision by reviewing own work
Develop specifications writing and compiling skills
Conduct building code analysis and research regulatory requirements to determine design constraints
Communicate and present design options and alternates to clients
Work with municipalities to secure entitlements and building permits
Respond to Contractor Requests for Information
Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with design intent
Expanded management responsible for staff and projects
Establish project milestones with Design Team Leads
Direct designer Job Duties
Perform quality control review of team members work product
Conduct periodic progress meetings with Design Team
Communicate directly with client
Perform constructability reviews throughout the design process
Work with contractors to resolve issues affecting construction cost, schedule and design intent
Prepare proposals for services in response to client requirements
Works with team and leadership to develop and manage discipline specific project budgets
