Your Role

As aGensler Architect,you will collaborate with our design team to develop innovative design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect's sketches and documents intorealized 2D/3D modelsand images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. You willleverageyour technical acumen and Revit skills to drive client projects from concept throughbuildin a collaborative team. Your role is critical in the design and delivery of world-class projects. What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with our Sports team to deliver informed project solutions based on marketexpertiseand an understanding of client goals
  • Documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV,acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
  • Coordinate with the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants
  • Resolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative, technical, constructible solutions
  • Direct production of drawings,specificationsand construction administration tasks
  • Responsible for delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality
  • Process  submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIs
  • Interface with building andpermittingofficials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
  • Activelyparticipateand contribute to the financial performance of project
  • Review andcontributeto proposals and contracts with the Design Manager
  • Establish andmaintainongoing, productive client relationships

Your Qualifications

  • LicensedArchitector NCIDQcertificationrequired
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Designfrom an accredited programrequired
  • 5-10 years of related experience, including demonstrated success and/or interest working on sports projects
  • Strongproficiencyin Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
  • Full knowledge of architectural principles/practices
  • Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures
  • Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancy
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Well-rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management, and technical project resolution who can help shape a vision for the future

*The estimated base salary range for this position in the Washington, D.C. is $76,000- $110,000, plus eligibility for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation is contingent on location and relevant skills, qualifications and experience.
