Job Description

This role is responsible for defining and governing the Internationalisation (I18N) strategy for Wesco’s enterprise digital platforms starting with the 4.x release. The architect will ensure the platform is globally scalable, locale agnostic, and future ready, while aligning with Wesco enterprise architecture standards.

Responsibility:

  • Own end‑to‑end I18N architecture across UI, services, APIs, data, and integrations
  • Define I18N design standards, patterns, and guardrails
  • Ensure platform readiness for:
    • Multi‑language support
    • Locale‑aware date, time, number, currency handling
  • Influence product and engineering roadmaps to avoid localisation debt
  • Partner with UX, Product, QA, and Platform teams
  • Conduct architecture and design reviews for I18N compliance
  • Define I18N testing strategy (SIT, UAT, regression, automation)
  • Identify risks early and guide mitigation across release cycles
  • Mentor senior engineers and enforce architectural consistency
  • Should have exposure to Legal and Financial requirement for the region
  • Having exposure to distribution domain will be added advantage

Core I18N
