Principal Engineer-ScienceLogic

Location: The role will be a hybrid position, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune
Shift: US aligned hours - Night shift

Primary Purpose: responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise monitoring solutions using the ScienceLogic SL1 platform

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise monitoring solutions using the ScienceLogic SL1 platform across network, compute, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• Develop and optimize monitoring policies, event correlation, alerts, dashboards, reports, and automation workflows to improve operational visibility and reduce incident response time.
• Integrate ScienceLogic SL1 with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and support API-based data collection using protocols and technologies including SNMP, WMI, SSH, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Troubleshoot monitoring issues, provide 24x7 rotational operational support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Expertise in: Infrastructure monitoring (network, compute, storage)

Key Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Deep expertise in infrastructure monitoring, automation, event correlation, and integration with ITSM tools
• Strong hands-on experience with ScienceLogic SL1 platform
• ServiceNow / ITSM tools integration• VMware / Hyper-V
• Cloud monitoring (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch – preferred)
• Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Databases: MySQL / PostgreSQL (basic knowledge)
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines)
• Expertise in: SNMP, WMI, SSH, API-based data collection
