Overview

We are looking for Architect II to join our team. This role will be based at our AtkinsRéalis office in Gurgaon / Bangalore, India.

Strong understanding of drawing information, approved documents and project standards. Capable of independently executing instructions, addressing mark-ups and coordinating drawing outputs with limited supervision. Takes responsibility for technical accuracy within assigned packages, highlights coordination issues, and supports junior team members through clear mark-ups and guidance.

Your Role

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Understands project design requirements, consultant interfaces and contractor inputs, and applies this knowledge to assigned work packages.
  • Reviews requirements, drawings and documentation, highlighting risks, discrepancies and early warnings to senior team members in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates awareness of relevant materials, suppliers, technical standards, approved documents and project specifications.
  • Checks drawings and supporting information for accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable standards, escalating items that require senior review.
  • Supports senior team members in achieving project compliance and contributes to quality reviews of assigned outputs.
  • Contributes actively to project administration and technical delivery activities, including scope review, time estimation, technical design development, early risk identification, feasibility study inputs, meeting minutes and area/accommodation schedules.
  • Uses approved documents, regulations and project specifications to verify design information against required guidelines and norms.
  • Maintains professional relationships with internal teams, consultants and project stakeholders, contributing positively to coordination discussions.
  • Supports the development of concept and feasibility design options with guidance from senior team members, while taking ownership of defined tasks.
  • Continues to develop project administration, planning authority and technical delivery knowledge through active project involvement.

Architecture, Construction & Technology

  • Reads and interprets client mark-ups, technical comments and project requirements, and addresses them accurately with limited supervision.
  • Prepares clear and structured mark-ups for revision by team members or junior staff, and reviews junior outputs for accuracy, completeness and alignment with project standards.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of construction sequences, building elements and how architectural information interfaces with other disciplines.
  • Uses appropriate technical terminology when describing building components, construction methods and drawing requirements.
  • Understands the requirements of other disciplines and contributes to coordination discussions, escalating issues that require senior review.
  • Develops and applies knowledge of drawing information, detailing and technical standards through active project delivery.
  • Applies sound knowledge of materials, products and their typical construction applications when developing or reviewing design information.
  • Takes initiative to research materials, products and supplier information, and uses findings to support technical decision-making within assigned tasks.
  • Continues to strengthen material, construction and technology knowledge through project experience and guidance from senior team members.

General

  • Reads and interprets drawings confidently, including orientation, information hierarchy, annotations and technical content.
  • Produces coordinated and detailed drawing information with limited supervision, ensuring outputs are accurate, complete and aligned with project standards.
  • Annotates drawings clearly using appropriate notes, references and specification clauses.
  • Prepares clear mark-ups, sketches and comments to support junior team members and assist with drawing revisions.
  • Participates actively in coordination discussions with internal teams and other disciplines, identifying interfaces and potential clashes.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of architectural packages, their applications, detailing requirements and buildability considerations.
  • Interrogates project information, resolves routine technical queries within assigned tasks and escalates complex issues where senior input is required.
  • Identifies and highlights discrepancies, missing information and coordination risks in a timely manner.
  • Takes initiative to research products, manufacturers’ information and consultant inputs to support technically sound design decisions.

About You

  • Confident in setting up and working within multidisciplinary Revit models, including worksets, linked models and coordinated drawing production.
  • Able to carry out model reviews and clash checks within own discipline and across interfaces, escalating coordination issues where required.
  • Uses Revit tools such as massing, design options, schedules, keynoting and parametric families to support concept, scheme and detailed design stages.
  • Produces well-structured drawings and model information with limited supervision, ensuring outputs align with project standards and agreed BIM protocols.
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk tools, with certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Revizto and Navisworks, with awareness of Dynamo and secure AI tools to support presentations and drawing production.
  • Awareness of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign and Enscape is preferred.
  • Experience in AECOsim/OpenBuildings Designer is beneficial; MicroStation proficiency would be an added advantage.
