We are looking for an innovative and experienced Architect, Embedded SW with proven expertise in technical leadership and product development of low power embedded devices. In this role, you will define the architectural direction of iLOQ products, translate product requirements into technical solutions, evaluate architectural alternatives, and lead key technical decisions. You will work closely with other Architects, Product- and Program Management, and Embedded Software Developers to deliver the best end-to-end solutions. You will also contribute to the development of our ways of working and mentor engineers to support the future growth of our organization. This role is located at our Head office at Oulu, Finland.
What you'll do
Own Embedded SW architecture and platform design
Define and document solution architectures, interfaces, integrations, and technical requirements
Ensure system-level and technical requirements are met and architectural decisions are consistently implemented
Contribute hands-on to embedded software development when needed
Drive technology studies from ideas to concepts and products
Own and develop the Embedded SW technical documentation
Lead subcontracting and partnership initiatives from a technical perspective
Mentor development teams and promote architectural best practices
Lead design area specific processes and tooling improvements
Actively follow up new technologies, innovations and competing solutions.
What you'll bring
Relevant technical degree (B.Sc or M.Sc)
10+ years of experience in embedded SW, including technical leadership
Strong expertise in C/C++ (C++17), Python, and embedded SW debugging
Experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto) is considered an advantage
Interest in AI tools and technologies and their practical applications in SW development
Experience with technical documentation
Experience with software quality practices and CI/CD environments
Passion for continuous improvement of Embedded SW processes, tools, and competencies
Understanding of Embedded SW security, industry standards, and regulatory compliance
Proven capability in technical decision-making and architectural leadership
Good communication and people leading skills.
