Job Title: Senior Scrum Master

Experience: 12–15 years

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives), ensuring clear objectives, time-boxing and actionable outcomes.
• Coach multiple teams on Scrum and Agile principles, tailoring approaches (Kanban, XP, SAFe) to each context.
• Shield teams from external distractions, surface blockers early and work across functions to resolve impediments swiftly.
• Partner with Product Owners to groom and prioritize backlogs, split epics into well-defined user stories and ensure “Definition of Done” clarity.
• Track, analyze and report Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down/up charts, cycle time, lead time) to drive data-informed decisions.
• Lead cross-team Scrum-of-Scrums for large programs; identify dependencies, risks and escalation paths.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement with regular inspect-and-adapt workshops, Kaizen events and “fail-fast” experiments.
• Mentor junior Scrum Masters and Agile champions; evangelize best practices through workshops, brown-bags and coaching circles.
• Collaborate with PMO/PMs to align Agile cadences with release trains, financial forecasts and governance requirements.
• Advocate for Agile at the leadership level—share success stories, ROI data and roadblocks to secure ongoing investment.
