Job Purpose

To develop, review, coordinate, and supervise architectural designs and construction activities to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with business requirements, functional needs, regulatory standards, quality expectations, budget constraints, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Design & Coordination

  • Prepare architectural concepts, designs, and technical solutions for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and act as the primary liaison with external architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout all project phases.
  • Review design proposals and provide recommendations to ensure alignment with project objectives and operational requirements.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure effective communication among all project parties.

2. Drawings & Specifications Review

  • Review architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and related technical documents prepared by external consultants.
  • Ensure designs comply with site conditions, operational functionality, owner requirements, and project standards.
  • Verify design consistency and integration with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other related disciplines.
  • Recommend revisions and improvements to optimize project outcomes.

3. Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure architectural designs comply with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, environmental requirements, and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities and consultants to obtain required permits and approvals.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure project compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as required.

4. Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Support

  • Address architectural-related issues, complaints, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Investigate design and construction concerns and provide practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and project continuity.

5. Construction Supervision

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and architectural execution.
  • Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
  • Identify and resolve architectural and technical issues during construction.
  • Review site progress, inspect workmanship quality, and provide recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
  • Prepare site observation reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in architecture

2. Minimum 5–8 years of experience in architectural design, project coordination, and construction supervision.

3. Experience in commercial, industrial, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use developments is preferred.

4. Proven experience working with external consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
