
ARCHAEOLOGY CREW CHIEF – TEMPORARY POSITION
EMH&T is currently recruiting for a temporary Archaeological Crew Chief to join our team to oversee archaeological projects in the field and provide team supervision.
The position is based in our Columbus, Ohio office and the assignment is expected to last 10 to 12 weeks with the option to extend dependent on available work. This position will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and be responsible for directing archaeological projects in the field, including providing team supervision.
The work may be physically demanding and aspects of the work environment described here are representative of those that an employee in the above-listed position(s) will encounter and must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Work Schedule
The hourly rate for this position is $28.00 - $30.00 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis. The base workweek is 40 hours, and hours worked in excess of forty regular hours per week will be compensated at 1.5 times your hourly rate. The typical workweek will be Monday through Friday, although depending on weather or project schedule, weekend work may be considered. The project locations will be within Ohio and surrounding states. Lodging will be provided for non-local candidates as well as $65 per diem. Selected candidates must provide their own transportation to EMH&T’s Columbus office for local projects and hotel for non-local projects. Transportation will be provided to the project from hotel/office.
All candidates must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. All EMH&T field personnel are subject to our safety-sensitive testing program. This means that your name will be placed in a pool for random screenings after your program training is completed. Details of the program are available to you prior to acceptance of the offer.
Must be legally authorized and permitted to work in the United States without time limitation.
