ARCH 6021 positions design, research, inquiry, and production in relation to issues of form, site, and program – expanding on the foundational knowledge acquired during the first year of the graduate program. The studio introduces design issues of context, climate, structure, organizational logics, site, and program. With these issues as a backdrop, emphasis is placed on rigorous research and analysis, concept development in relation to space and form, design methodology, and design synthesis.

Expected Duties:

Teaching Assistants for a graduate studio primarily provide instruction and support in digital and physical modeling techniques, and representation.

- Help manage material on Canva.

- Skill-based instruction and help to the designated students.

- Help prepare pin-up spaces before reviews.

- Help research, collect, and build, instruction materials and documentation.

- Set up photobooths and book out photo equipment.

- Meet biweekly with coordinator to review content and organization.

Proposed Schedule:

The role consists of 4-5 hours per week any time from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, Monday, Wednesday or Friday, for the duration of the entire semester, 15 weeks in total.
