The Accounting Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, customer account health, and operational excellence across Finance, Sales, Operations, and Accounting. This position is responsible for performing account reconciliations related to Accounting, Taxes, and the Accounts Receivable (AR) module.

This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Finance Managers, Accounting, Tax, and Finance Business Technology teams, interacting regularly to resolve issues and maintain high standards of financial control and compliance.

Key Accountabilities

• Proactively complete AR and Accounting module reconciliations.
• Record accounting and tax (VAT) journal entries, review subsidiary ledgers, and analyze affected accounts.
• Manage reporting activities and maintain financial databases.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial information.
• Maintain up-to-date reconciliations and ensure account integrity and cleanliness.
• Perform accounting reconciliations at the Business Statement of Account (BSA) level.

Reporting & Financial Controls

• Partner closely with the global reporting team to meet data submission timelines and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Apply accounting standards and policies to resolve reporting issues and support financial control processes.
• Ensure Balance Sheet integrity through accurate reconciliations, proper documentation, and compliance with the Group Reporting Manual.
• Participate in audits, projects, and incident investigations as assigned.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work collaboratively with Finance, Tax, Operations, Accounting, and Finance Business Technology teams to resolve invoicing and accounting issues promptly.
• Provide insights through data analysis to support decision-making and continuous process improvement.
• Support business teams by analyzing Business Statements of Account and identifying discrepancies, risks, or opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting firm performing general accounting activities and tax determination (VAT).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable processes.
• Strong knowledge of account reconciliations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including large datasets and advanced functions.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is required.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

Work Location & Shift Pattern

Santa Fe, CDMX.

8:00am to 5:00pm

Hybrid, 2 days remote 3 days in the office.
