The Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist plays a critical role in reducing aged receivables and improving overall collections performance. This position is not only responsible for managing outstanding customer balances, but also for establishing and strengthening internal controls, standardizing processes, and proactively addressing root causes of aging accounts. This role plays a key part in supporting cash flow and minimizing bad debts.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Actively reduce the existing aged receivables (60, 90, 120+ days past due)
  • Make telephone calls or mail correspondence to customers as necessary to collect outstanding balances and update accounts.
  • Monitor and manage assigned accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communication.
  • Prepare ageing reports and provide regular updates to management.
  • Escalate delinquent accounts as needed for further actions.
  • Prepare customer statements, send them to customers and follow them on periodic basis.
  • Obtain and mail invoice copies and related backup for customers, as requested.
  • Answer accounts receivable phone inquiries and follow up.
  • Research and process customer claims of invoice payment

Your Profile:

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management.
  • Customer service experience in a financial setting.
