Das erwartet Dich bei uns:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant in South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer payments, managing account reconciliations, and ensuring smooth communication with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical skills, a hands-on attitude, and a customer-focused mindset.

Deine Aufgaben:

• Perform daily reconciliation of customer cash receipts in the bank.
• Allocate incoming payments to the correct invoices, applying settlement discounts where applicable.
• Provide regular and accurate customer statements, ensuring all data is up to date.
• Recalculate and match rebates against expected values; identify discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve any differences or mismatches in customer accounts.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding overdue accounts via email and phone.
• Support the issuance of credit notes, including non-operational adjustments.
• Assist with additional accounting and finance tasks as required, related to AR processes.

Was uns überzeugt:

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in an AR, credit control, or finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and financial reconciliation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP systems (XERO,Cin7 or similar).
• Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred:
  • Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment
  • Familiarity with settlement discounts and rebate mechanisms
