The Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant is responsible for supporting PPL’s finance team with accurate and timely management of receivables related to affordable housing operations. This role supports the organization’s accounting processes under the Property Accounting Manager with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable that serve the Property Management department.

✅What You’ll Do

  • Administer accounts receivable functions for PPL’s affordable housing properties including but not limited to posting monthly rent charges, applying income‑based adjustments and subsidies, reconciling tenant ledgers
  • Ensure all billing activity aligns with internal financial compliance standards
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in billing, collections, and cash applications
  • Provide year-end support to the annual audit process and requirements for the preparation of audit work papers
  • Collaborate with property management, asset management and compliance teams to ensure accuracy of receivables tied to affordable housing operations

✅ What You Bring

Experience & Skills

  • Understanding of AR processes, financial statements, general ledgers, trial balances, accounting theory, and accounting software systems
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or demonstrated work experience performing similar responsibilities, candidates without a degree but with proven expertise are encouraged to apply
  • 1-3 years financial accounting or AR experience or a combination of education and experience
