
OF POSITION:
Responsible for the direct supervision, control, and safety of all staff members, YMCA members, guests, and program participants during all aquatic activities.
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Maintains safe swimming conditions in their area of responsibility and being readily available while on shift. The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for responding to any level of incident or emergency around the pool areas and the facility maintaining YMCA and American Red Cross Standards. The Aquatics Coordinator is responsible for maintaining communication and relationships with other staff/ members/ guests while enforcing our established rules in a fair and polite manner and completing any other tasks assigned by the Aquatics Director.

The work schedules may vary per the Y’s hours of operation. Most Y’s are open 7 days a week:
Mon. – Fri. 5:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sat. 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sun. 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
