The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is in search of qualified individuals for the position of Aquatics Coordinator. The Aquatics Coordinator will be in charge of overseeing different components of a specific program or a collection of programs and will manage the staff within the designated department, under the complete supervision of the assigned site operations manager. This role involves advocating for program services within the community, managing the program budget, and ensuring the effective delivery of program services. It also includes maintaining program records, evaluating program revenue and success, and supervising or offering guidance to assigned staff members.
If you have an aquatics background, can foresee potential problems, and have the specialty skills needed to solve them, then this could be the position you've been looking for. This position requires continual direction and oversight of aquatics operations and programming. A successful candidate will be able to communicate, solve problems, adapt to changing situations, think critically, and work as a team.

This position is eligible for a $3,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the Hiring and Retention policy.
Hiring salary commensurate with experience.
A bachelor's degree in Leisure and Recreation Service or a closely related field is required and two (2) years of relevant work experience, with at least one year in a supervisory role, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Must undergo pre-employment criminal, credit, and DMV background checks. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. Annual reviews of driving records may be conducted to ensure ongoing qualification. All certifications must be obtained within the department's required timelines and include the following: a Pool Operator's license, Lifeguard Instructor Certification required at time of hire, Water Safety Instructor, CPR and First Aid, and First Aid Instructor certifications. Complete Bloodborne Pathogen and facility-specific building and pool systems training. County required Supervisory Courses to include E- Learning. Must attain any other certifications or training needed by the Department for the specific area of responsibility.
