As our Aquatics Coordinator, you’ll oversee the daily operations of our aquatic centres, ensuring safe, high-quality experiences for our members and visitors. You’ll lead a dynamic team, coordinate engaging aquatic programs, and uphold high safety standards while fostering strong community partnerships.

We are currently recruiting an Aquatics Coordinators for Casuarina Aquatic Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Leadership: Lead, supervise and support Duty Managers, Lifeguards, and Customer Service Officers
  • Safe Operations: Oversee daily pool operations, including water quality, maintenance, and safety compliance
  • Ensure adherence to public health, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Programming: Develop and promote aquatic programs in collaboration with schools, learn to swim and community groups
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate operational, staffing, and safety documentation
  • Financial Management: Support financial reporting, rostering, and resource management

Qualifications and Experience

  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Pool Technical Operator Certificate (desired)
  • Current First Aid (HLTAID003 or higher) and CPR
  • Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
  • Satisfactory National Police Check
  • Proven experience in aquatic operations and team leadership (3 years preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organisational and mentoring skills
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with diverse community groups
  • Strong knowledge of aquatic safety and compliance regulations

Mandatory Requirements

Y NT, including its Boards of Directors, are committed to the safety and well-being of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. Y NT requires that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:

  • Valid Working with Children Clearance.
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check.

Any successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People framework, which includes a thorough safeguarding children and young people induction and a commitment to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout their engagement with Y NT.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
