Mission
Lead an engineering team in the delivery of camera test and process system solutions to meet production KPI and project milestones.
Continuous development of camera standards, test and methods strategy in conjunction with the engineering Resources.
Responsibilities
Define the engineering resource requirements for improvement or new projects & assign them to meet specific KPI and project milestones.
Provide leadership to that team in both the internal & external development of competence, capabilities and standards.
Own and drive the overall delivery of projects and co-ordinate with the team to ensure they are delivered on time and to target.
Report project status versus milestones, blocking point, etc to the engineering manager.
Host a team 5mm with the engineers and attend manager’s 5mm
Communicate directly with stakeholders on project status and open issues if required
Communicate clearly to engineering manager on project status and open issues, maintain a project status dashboard to clearly transmit this detail and present on a weekly basis
Work directly with support departments in the continuous development and delivery of our standards, competence, capabilities and strategy.
Liaise with VVS design engineers (hardware/software & mechanical), manufacturing engineers & quality engineers in the design, development and delivery of process & methods solutions for all projects and provide input to DFT, DFMs,PFMEAs & design reviews.
Analysis of customer product process & methods requirements to define System capability & capacity requirements, engage with the customer where required.
Lead the use of the Engineering Guidelines and standards to ensure all deliverables are met by the intended milestone, e.g. DFM, DFT, coverage reports, STIs, gold parts, etc
Define the process & method process qualification (PQ) requirements & co-ordinate the PQ tasks in conjunction with the P1 eng team & quality dept.
Develop training plans with the engs to ensure the team have the necessary skill-sets to deliver on assigned projects.
Provide process and test system development cost estimates to support customer RFQs.
Ensure best practice is followed in data analytics, software version control and MES
Drive the generation of relevant documentation on processes and developments
Lead the generation of process standards for new processes and update of existing process standards where applicable
Feed in to MTP on budget and HC requirements
Support RFQ process to identify head count, development requirements, etc
Softworks maintenance for team

Generate content and present for weekly operational performance on scheduled task
Education/Training
Degree/Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Equivalent
ProfessionalExperience
Minimum 5 Years Experience within Electronics Manufacturing Environment (ideally Automotive Electronics)
Minimum 4 Years Experience within Valeo
Experience with Automation, robotics, electronics and PC/PXI I/O cards.
Project Management and Report writing experience would be beneficial
Experience in MS Project or other project visual aids for tracking progress
Maintain budgetary requirements, have a clear objective on spend for machine design through bring up
Define with clear milestones to achieve project target and manage activity from milestone to milestone, understanding associated risk assessments and mitigation activity
Must have excellent People Management Skills
Software Skills LabView, TestStand, C, C++ programming or similar would be beneficial.
Experience in Camera Comms Stds – LIN, CAN, Backchannel, Ethernet & POC would be beneficial.
Experience in Video Stds – LVDS, NTSC, Ethernet & POC would be beneficial.
Experience with Vision based products/applications would be beneficial.
Experience with soldering, laser, robotics, dispense and UV based curing systems would be beneficial.
Experience in document writing is required, i.e. procedures, specifications, reports, etc.
Knowledge of Shop Floor management systems and traceability required.
Must have excellent debug and problem solving skills.
Experience with CAD packages, AutoCAD, CADStart, SolidWorks, etc would be beneficial.
