APS Intern

What you’ll do:

Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing initiatives and APS Culture within the plant, including the follow-up and implementation of APSS standards and continuous improvement projects on site, as well as support in activities related to the plant layout strategy. This role is part of the APS area, driving waste elimination and cost reduction initiatives aligned with the plant’s annual goals to achieve operational excellence. Tracking reports for Kaizen ideas and communication with plant areas Support in APS activities (workshops, recognition programs, employee suggestions, etc.) Annual APSS standards evaluation Cost reduction projects Plant layout updates according to PE or APS Engineer requirements Responsibilities: Provide support in activities led by the APS area in collaboration with the operations team Follow up on Kaizen ideas indicators (L2L, OPI) Act as a liaison with the operations area to follow up on improvement plans Understand APSS standards and support evaluations according to APSS checklists Support the coordination of workshops (Hoshin, Zero Defects, APSA, APSU) Collaborate in employee onboarding and training processes Maintain updated plant layouts according to APS Engineer direction Support implementation of APS workshops focused on waste elimination, 5S, SMED, and Kaizen Train personnel on APS tools and operational excellence concepts, including standardized work and the 7 wastes * Review P4 documents according to standardized work methodology

What is required:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent No prior experience required; internships or academic projects related to continuous improvement are preferred AutoCAD DraftSight Microsoft Office Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Basic problem-solving knowledge Proficiency in DraftSight or AutoCAD
