Salary: The budgeted base salary range is $119,362 – 144,777
commensurate with qualifications and experience, and aligned with internal

The Department
of Emergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a
full time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). The APRN will work at our OSF Little Company of Mary site where we are looking to complete an already
excellent group of APPs and physicians working together. The hospital is
located in Evergreen Park on the south side of Chicago,addressing the needs of
an underserved population. The Emergency Department is newly renovated
and also serves as a core site for the UIC Emergency Medicine Residency.
The APRN will work at our OSF Little Company of Mary site providing patient care within scope of practice.
Flexibility for day and evening shift work in Emergency Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Completion of a master's/post-master's degree in a nurse practitioner educational program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) with emphasis on adult-gerontology acute care, family, emergency and trauma nurse practitioner.
Current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required.
Current AHA ACLS and PALS certification- they need Current AHA BLS and PALS certification
Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between Physician, APRN and PA providers as well as college and hospital leadership and the multi-disciplinary team.
Having APRN experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care settings is preferred.
All APRNs caring for children in the emergency department and fast track/urgent care area shall have documentation of a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education in pediatric emergency topics every two years that are approved by an accrediting agency preferred
