Apprenticeship and Traineeship Consultant

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assessment Services

• Undertake Assessment Services with potential apprentices and employers to determine their readiness and ability to undertake an apprenticeship.
• Utilise assessment tools to assess apprentices' suitability to undertake the nominated qualification including skill level, skill needs and aptitude for occupations, language, literacy, numeracy and digital comprehension.
• Apprenticeship Consultants are tasked with proactively conducting outreach and promotional activities to boost Australian Apprenticeship enrolments, effectively increasing sign-ups by engaging with employers and potential apprentices.
• Provide Employers Requiring Support with information relating to the steps and supports they may access in order to succeed.
• Undertake a risk assessment to determine the likelihood of the apprentice and employer pairing achieving completion and input results into ADMS.
• Perform considered evaluation of assessment results in order to determine additional supports required, including referral to Enhanced Services/Capped Mentoring & Personal Support Service & creation of the initial Training and Support Plan.

Business Development

• Attend networking events, career expos, industry events and other local level marketing to build, maintain and grow relationships of trust with key stakeholders and build awareness of Australian Apprenticeship pathways within region.
• Build relationships of trust with key stakeholders within the region in order to encourage commencement, retention and completion of Australian Apprenticeships.
• Develop knowledge of training options offer by registered training organisations in your local region including identification of new Australian Apprenticeship opportunities in the market in order to increase market share within the region.
• Ensure monthly signup target is met or exceeded, including percentage from new client generation.
• Complete business development plans and reports as requested by leadership team in order to provide transparency around pipeline.
• Raise the awareness and profile of Australian Apprenticeships and other VET training pathways, especially in terms of recruitment for key client groups, including First Nations, Disability, Women in Trades and Regional and Remote.
• Work closely with Workforce Australia providers, DES & NDIS providers, and agencies specializing in First Nations and Women in male dominated trades to maximise the opportunities to commence and retain these key client groups into Australian Apprenticeships.
• Utilise IntoWork CRM as a tool for collaboration, including uploading new relationships.
• Increase visibility and uptake of Australian Apprenticeships and Australian School Based Apprenticeships via engagement with secondary/combined schools including presentations, career.
• Build strong relationships with schools identified in the School Engagement Plan to position MAS National as the AASS of choice for both information and sign-up purposes while meeting DEWR biannual targets.

Career Advice

• Achieve set KPIs for converting basic MAS National Careers in schools services to a fee-for-service model by collaborating with the Careers team to generate a broader careers advice fee-for-service model whenever opportunities arise, extending beyond schools.
• Undertake high-quality data entry into databases as required, in line with internal processes and Department reporting specifications.

Field Services

• Ensure that all contractual targets and KPI's are met including training contract submissions, file noting in Ready Active/Ready Recruit/ADMS and assessment services to consistently achieve monthly sign-up targets.
• Undertake sign-up services inline with Australian Apprenticeship Support Services Operating Guidelines including; providing consistent, accurate and up to date information, discussing conditions, rights and Code of Good Practice.
• Provide all parties with information on apprenticeship journey, including progress contacts and mentoring available.
• Obtain accurate and complete information on the Training Contract from all parties.
• Follow up all leads provided via Ready Apprentice within 24 hours.
• Assist all parties to log into ADMS and MasConnect app, enabling a smooth transition into the Australian Apprenticeship.
• Undertake progress contacts and basic mentoring within required timeframes including data entry onto appropriate systems

Quality

• Utilise the Quality Management System to ensure procedures and policies are adhered to.
• Have an awareness on how to navigate the QMS.
• Monitor compliance, analyse data and identify trends in order to determine best practice for Mas with regards to improving performance and achieving goals.
• Achieve a high level of efficiency whilst maintaining a balance between quality implementation and commercial imperatives.

• Comply with all relevant Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment is maintained. Abide by company procedures for identifying and reporting of potential hazards.

• Always protect information relating to customers, employees and our business. This includes complying with the IT Acceptable Use Policy and any other related IT, records or information security policies or directions.
• Practice good digital security by reporting information andor cyber security incidents, protecting physical equipment and handling information according to its classification

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Relevant Occupational Check

It is a requirement of the position to undertake, hold and maintain the following prior to, and throughout your employment:

• Satisfactory National Police Check
• Valid Working with Children Check (Employment status) applicable to the state in which you work
• Drivers Licence applicable to the state in which you work

Education & Accreditation

• Certificate IV or higher in Business, Marketing or a related discipline is highly desirable.

Skills/Experience

• Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to clients
• Proven experience in sales related roles
• Experience in the VET sector (highly desirable)

High level of communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships

• Ability to work autonomously and influence stakeholders
